🌸木々の枝先には、ぷっくりとふくらんだつぼみが
こんにちは、飴屋のかんばん娘です。
飴屋から白石川のほとりを歩いてきました。
まだ風は少し冷たいけれど、土手にはふわりと春の気配。
「もうすぐだよ」って、桜たちの声が聞こえてくるようでした。木々の枝先には、ぷっくりとふくらんだつぼみがびっしり。
これから始まる春の物語を、静かに待っているようでした。
そして──うれしいご報告です！
🌸本日（4月5日）、白石川堤一目千本桜が開花しました！
仙台での開花（4月4日）に続いて、白石川沿いの桜たちも、
ゆっくり、でも確かに目を覚まし始めました。
遠くには、まだ雪をかぶった蔵王連峰が見えて、
春と冬が手を取り合うようなその景色に、しばし見とれてしまいました。
🌸 小さな花と、春の約束
歩いていると、幹の根元や枝先に、
ほんの少しだけ咲いている花を見つけました。
ひとひら、ふたひら──
どの花も、寒さにじっと耐えて、
やっと「春だよ」と言ってくれているようで、胸がじんわり。
こういう小さな発見が、春の散歩の楽しみなのかもしれませんね。
🌸川と空と桜だけが広がる、特別な場所『末広歩道橋』
この橋を渡って白石川の向こう岸に行ってみると──
そこは、ちょっぴり人が少なくて、静けさに包まれていました。
一目千本桜のちょうど真ん中にかかるのが、末広歩道橋です。
車が来ない、静かな橋の上。
川と空と桜だけが広がる、特別な場所です。
🌸 対岸で見つけた、春のひとしずく
対岸を歩いていると、日当たりのよい斜面に、
ぽつぽつと咲きはじめている桜が見えてきました。
ほかの木々はまだつぼみなのに、
まるで春を先取りしたような小さな花たち。
風に揺れる姿がとても愛らしくて、立ち止まらずにはいられませんでした。
🌸 絶景ポイント②で、深呼吸
そこは、*「絶景ポイント②」*。桜の木の根元には、案内の石碑もありました。
川の流れと、並ぶつぼみの桜並木、奥には船岡平和観音さま。あの手前に、私たちの飴屋があります。
見上げれば青空と桜のつぼみ、振り返れば蔵王連峰。まるでこの町の“春のすべて”がここにあるような、そんな気持ちになる場所でした。
🌸 春が動いた、帰り道
飴屋への帰り道、来たときにはまだつぼみだった枝に、
いくつもの花が開いているのを見つけました。
ほんの１時間程度で、春は一歩進んだみたい。
「春って、ちゃんと動いてるんですね。」
そんな実感が、やさしく胸に残りました。
空の青、雪の蔵王、咲き始めた桜たち──
春って、やっぱりいいですね。

今後の天候にもよりますが、今週の土・日曜日は見頃になりですね！

【🌸Plump buds on the tree branches】
Hello, this is the Ame-shop’s signboard girl.
I walked from the candy shop along the banks of the Shiroishi River.
The wind is still a little cold, but there is a gentle hint of spring on the bank.
I could almost hear the cherry blossoms saying, “It’s almost here.” The tips of the tree branches were covered with plump buds.
They seemed to be quietly waiting for the story of spring to begin.
And now──I have some exciting news to share!
【🌸Today (April 5th), the Hitome Senbonzakura cherry blossoms along the Shiroishi River embankment have bloomed!】
Following the first blooming in Sendai (April 4th), the cherry blossoms along the Shiroishi River are slowly but surely starting to wake up. In the distance, the still snow-capped Zao mountain range can be seen, and I was entranced for a while by the view, where spring and winter seem to join hands.
【🌸 A small flower and the promise of spring】
As I walked, I found a few flowers blooming at the base of the trunks and the tips of the branches.
One petal, two petals…
Each flower was patiently enduring the cold,
and it was as if they were finally telling me “Spring has come,” and it made my heart warm.
Perhaps these little discoveries are what make a spring walk so fun.
【🌸Suehiro Pedestrian Bridge: A special place where only the river, sky, and cherry blossoms spread out before you】
If you cross this bridge to the other side of the Shiroishi River,
there are fewer people there and it’s enveloped in silence.
The Suehiro Pedestrian Bridge is located exactly in the middle of the Hitome Senbonzakura.
It’s a quiet bridge with no cars on it.
It’s a special place where only the river, sky, and cherry blossoms are visible.
【🌸 A drop of spring found on the opposite bank】
As I walked along the opposite bank, I noticed cherry blossoms starting to bloom here and there on the sunny slope.
The other trees still had buds, but these tiny flowers looked as if they were an early sign of spring.
The way they swayed in the breeze was so adorable that I couldn’t help but stop and take a look.
【🌸 Take a deep breath at scenic spot ②】
This is “Scenic View Point ②”.
There was also a stone monument at the base of the cherry tree.
There is a flowing river, a row of cherry trees with buds, and in the distance is Funaoka Heiwa Kannon.
Just before that is our Ame-shop.
Look up and you can see the blue sky and cherry blossom buds, and look back and you can see the Zao mountain range.
It was a place that made me feel as if “everything about spring” in this town was here.
【🌸 Spring has begun to move, on the way home】
On my way back to the Ame-shop, I found many flowers in bloom on branches that were still in bud when I arrived.
It was as if spring had taken a step forward in just an hour.
“Spring is really moving forward, isn’t it?”
This feeling lingered fondly in my heart.
The blue sky, the snow on Zao, the cherry blossoms just starting to bloom – spring is really wonderful after all.

This year’s best viewing time will likely be around April 10th (Thurs) to 15th (Tues), depending on the weather.
