一目千本桜：つぼみ膨らむ春景色 🌸🌱

昨日、春の訪れを待ちきれなくて、「一目千本桜」の様子を見に行ってきました。
桜並木は、まだ開花にはちょっと早いようで、枝先のつぼみは、ぷっくりふくらみ始めたところ。
でも、その先っぽにうっすらと赤みがさしていて、まるで「そろそろ咲くよ〜」って声が聞こえてきそうな、そんなかわいらしさでした🌸
くもり空で少し肌寒い日だったけれど、川沿いの空気にはほんのり春の香りが混ざっていて、なんだかウキウキした気持ちになりました✨
会場では、「おおがわら桜まつり」に向けた準備が着々と進んでいて、屋台や赤白のちょうちんたちがずらりと並びはじめていましたよ。
桜はまだ咲いていないけど、まつりの雰囲気だけはもう満開！って感じでした♪
そのあと、「とんとんの丘 もちぶた館」で河津桜が咲いていると聞いて、さっそくドライブしてきました🚗
河津桜が見頃！もちぶた館で春に出会う 🌸🌸🌸
一目千本桜では、まだつぼみだったけど、「とんとんの丘 もちぶた館」さんの第二駐車場に着くなり、目に飛び込んできたのは濃いピンクの花たち！
そう、河津桜がほぼ満開🌸🌸🌸！
青空を背景に、枝いっぱいに咲き誇る花びらたちが風にゆれて、まるで「ここが春の入り口だよ」って教えてくれているようでした。
近づいてよ〜く見てみると、咲き始めのつぼみと開ききった花が入り混じって、ひと枝ごとに“春のストーリー”が詰まっている感じ。
一輪ひとひらが、かわいくて、やさしくて、見ているだけでほっこりしました🌼 この日は駐車場もにぎわっていて、ご家族連れや観光客の方たちが、動物エリアをお散歩したり、もちぶた館店舗内での地元産品の購入、温泉、バーベキューなど、それぞれに春を楽しんでいる様子でしたよ📸👟
動物たちとふれあい、のんびり春時間 🐐🦙🐢🦆🐇
もちぶた館に来たら、やっぱり最初に立ち寄りたいのが、動物たちのエリア。
この日ものんびりと、ヤギさんや羊さんたちが草をはんでいました。
広々とした放牧場のむこうには、満開の河津桜がふわっと彩りを添えていて、まるで絵本の中に入り込んだような景色でした📖🌸
しかも、入場は無料！
ふらっと立ち寄って、気軽に動物たちと過ごせるのがうれしいところです🐾
この日、いちばん注目を集めていたのは……カピバラさん！
おだやかな顔でちょこんと座っていて、なんとも癒し系🦙
よ〜く見てみると、なんとカピバラさんの池の中には亀さんも一緒にのんびりしていました🐢
この共演、ちょっとレアかもしれません…♪
他にも、ポニーやうさぎ、アヒルたちの姿も発見🐴🐰🦆
それぞれが自由気ままに過ごしていて、見ているだけでほんわかしてきます。
ふれあいコーナーでは、もちぶた館内で地元野菜を買ってエサやり体験もできますよ🥕
（※16時ごろまでとのことなので、行くなら少し早めの時間がおすすめです♪）
展望台で「はやぶさ号」とバッチリ遭遇！🚄🌾
動物コーナーのさらに奥、ちょっとした坂道を登っていくと現れるのが、「とんとんの丘 展望台」。
かわいい看板が迎えてくれて、なんだかワクワクしながら丘を登っていきました。
展望台の先端に立ち、「来ないかな〜」なんて思っていたそのとき。
「ゴオーッ」という音が聞こえてきて、思わずスマホを構えました📱
すると数秒後、トンネルの向こうから東北新幹線「はやぶさ号」がシュッと登場🚄✨！
まるで「今でしょ！」と言わんばかりのタイミングで姿を現して、しっかりカメラにもおさめることができました♪
これは本当にラッキーな瞬間でした！
大河原町のまち並みや田園風景を見渡しながら、
風のように駆け抜ける新幹線を見るひととき。
春風に吹かれながら、ついつい「また来ないかな～」って待ってしまう、そんな場所です。
温泉、地元の“おいしい”が大集合！お土産＆ＢＢＱコーナー🛍️
動物たちとふれあい、展望台からの眺めも満喫したあとは、もちぶた館の中へ。
建物の中には、地元のブランド豚「和豚もちぶた」の直売所や、地元産の野菜、加工品などがずらり。
まるで道の駅のような賑わいで、ついつい真剣にお買い物モードに…！
そして…甘いもの好きにはたまらない、大河原町のお菓子たちも勢ぞろい🍭
実は、私たち飴屋の「桜飴」なども、入口入ってすぐの正面に並べていただいているんです♪
立ち寄られた方が手に取ってくださるのを見かけると、なんだかとてもうれしくなります。
どぶろく「男桜」「女桜」も要チェック🍶
大河原産のひとめぼれを100％使用した、地元生まれのどぶろく。
男桜はキリッと辛口、女桜はやさしい甘口。
どぶろくを使ったスイーツも登場していて、見ているだけでも楽しいですよ♪
そしてもうひとつのお楽しみが…♨️
もちぶた館に併設された日帰り温泉「おおがわら天然温泉 いい湯」。
入浴料は大人800円・小人400円。17時以降は大人500円・小人250円と、夕方からのお得な料金もうれしいですね。個室利用（7.5畳）は1時間1,000円。
泉質はアルカリ性単純温泉。いわゆる“美肌の湯”で、お肌がつるつるになると評判です✨
大浴場や露天風呂で春風を感じながら、のんびり過ごす時間は格別です。
お食事処「四季彩」もあり、心も体もゆるむような空間があります。
一目千本桜を観桜した夕方にでも、一風呂どうですか？
もちぶた館のもうひとつの魅力といえば、ＢＢＱコーナー！
手ぶらでOK、食材もコンロも炭もすべて準備してもらえるから、ふらっと寄っても楽しめちゃいます。
ジュージュー焼ける音をBGMに、お肉（肩・モモ）などを焼いてパクリ。
ジューシーでやわらかくて、口いっぱいに広がる甘み…これは最高✨
外で食べるごはんって、なんでこんなにおいしいんでしょうね♪
もうひとつ忘れちゃいけないのが、お惣菜コーナー。
コロッケやとんかつが驚きの安さです！
この日は揚げたてのコロッケをひとつ、パクリ。
ほっくりしたじゃがいもに甘いひき肉、サクッと軽い衣で…思わず笑顔に☺️
地元のお客さんもひっきりなしに買いに来ていて、まさに“知る人ぞ知る人気コーナー”。
観光で訪れた方も、夕ごはん用に買って帰れば、おいしい思い出になりますよ♪
こうして過ごした、春の大河原町。
桜はまだつぼみでも、町のあちこちに春の気配が満ちていて、
その中で出会えた景色や味、そして人のあたたかさに、ほっと心がほぐれるような一日でした。季節がゆっくりとめぐるこの町で、今年もまた、やさしい春がやってきます。

【Hitome Senbonzakura: A spring scene of budding 🌸🌱】
Hello, I’m the Ame-shop’s signboard girl.
I couldn’t wait for spring to arrive, so yesterday I went to see the “Hitome Senbonzakura” cherry blossoms.
It seems it’s still a little early for the cherry blossom trees to bloom, and the buds at the ends of the branches are just starting to swell.
But the tips of the buds were faintly tinged red, and they were so cute that you could almost hear a voice telling them “They’ll bloom soon!” 🌸
It was a cloudy day and a little chilly, but the air along the river had a faint scent of spring, which made me feel excited✨
At the venue, preparations for the Ogawara Cherry Blossom Festival were steadily progressing, and food stalls and red and white lanterns were starting to line up.
The cherry blossoms hadn’t bloomed yet, but the festival atmosphere was already in full bloom! That’s how it felt♪
After that, I heard that the Kawazu cherry blossoms were blooming at Tonton no Oka Mochibutakan, so I went for a drive there right away🚗

At Hitome Senbonzakura, the cherry blossoms were still in bud, but as soon as we arrived at the second parking lot of “Tonton no Oka Mochibutakan”, the deep pink flowers caught our eye!
Yes, the Kawazu cherry blossoms are almost in full bloom🌸🌸🌸!
With the blue sky as a backdrop, the petals blooming all over the branches sway in the wind, as if they were telling us “This is the beginning of spring”.
If you get closer and take a closer look, you’ll see a mix of buds just starting to bloom and fully opened flowers, and each branch feels like it’s packed with a “spring story”.
Each petal is cute and gentle, and just looking at it makes you feel warm and fuzzy 🌼 The parking lot was busy that day, with families and tourists strolling through the animal area, buying local products at the Mochibutakan store, enjoying the hot springs, and having a barbecue 📸👟

If you come to Mochibutakan, the first place you want to stop by is the animal area.
On this day, goats and sheep were leisurely grazing.
Beyond the spacious pasture, the Kawazu cherry blossoms in full bloom added a soft touch of color, making it seem as if you were in a picture book 📖🌸
And admission is free!
It’s nice to be able to just drop in and spend time with the animals 🐾
On this day, the thing that attracted the most attention was… the capybara!
It was sitting there with a calm face, and it was very soothing 🦙
If you look closely, you’ll see that there was also a turtle relaxing in the capybara’s pond 🐢
This collaboration may be a little rare…♪
We also spotted ponies, rabbits, and ducks 🐴🐰🦆
Each of them was spending their time freely, and just watching them made us feel warm and fuzzy.
In the petting corner, you can buy local vegetables and feed the Mochibuta animals 🥕

【A perfect encounter with the Hayabusa at the observation deck! 🚄🌾】
Further inside the animal section, after climbing a small slope, you will come across the “Tonton no Oka Observatory”.
A cute sign welcomed me, and I climbed the hill with excitement.
Just as I was standing at the top of the observation deck, wondering if it would come,
I heard a “rumble” and instinctively held up my smartphone 📱
Then, a few seconds later, “Hayabusa” appeared from the other side of the tunnel 🚄✨!
It appeared just as if it was saying “Now!”, and I was able to capture it on camera ♪
It was a really lucky moment!
A moment to watch the Shinkansen rushing by like the wind while looking out over the streets and rural landscapes of Ogawaramachi.
It’s the kind of place where you can’t help but wait, wondering if it will come again, while being blown by the spring breeze.

After interacting with the animals and enjoying the view from the observation deck, we went inside the Mochibuta Museum.
Inside the building, there is a direct sales store for the local brand pork “Wabuta Mochibuta”, as well as a wide selection of locally grown vegetables and processed foods.
It’s as lively as a roadside station, and you’ll find yourself seriously shopping…!
And… there’s a wide selection of Ogawaramachi sweets that are irresistible for those with a sweet tooth 🍭
In fact, our candy shop’s “Sakura Ame” can also be found lined up right in front of the entrance ♪
It makes me so happy when I see people picking them up when they stop by.
Be sure to check out the doburoku “Otokozakura” and “Mezakura” 🍶
This locally made doburoku is made using 100% Hitomebore rice from Ogawara.
Otokozakura has a crisp, dry taste, while Mezakura has a gentle sweet taste.
There are also sweets made with doburoku, and it’s fun just to look at them♪
And there’s another fun thing to do…♨️
The day-trip hot spring “Ogawara Natural Hot Spring Ii-yu” is attached to Mochibutakan.
The bathing fee is 800 yen for adults and 400 yen for children. After 5pm, it’s 500 yen for adults and 250 yen for children, so the evening rates are great. A private room (7.5 tatami mats) costs 1,000 yen per hour.
The spring quality is alkaline simple hot spring. It’s known as a “beauty skin bath” and is known for making your skin smooth✨
The time you spend relaxing in the large bath or open-air bath while feeling the spring breeze is exceptional.
There is also a restaurant called “Shikisai,” providing a space where you can relax both your mind and body.
Why not take a bath in the evening after viewing the Hitome Senbonzakura?
Another attraction of Mochibutakan is the BBQ corner!
You can come empty-handed, and the ingredients, stove, and charcoal are all prepared for you, so you can just drop in and have fun.
With the sizzling sounds of grilling in the background, you can grill meat (shoulder, thigh, etc.) and take a bite.
Juicy and tender, with a sweet taste that fills your mouth…it’s the best✨
I wonder why food eaten outside is so delicious♪
Another thing you can’t forget is the side dish corner.
Croquettes and pork cutlets are surprisingly cheap!
On this day, I took a bite of a freshly fried croquette.
The soft potatoes and sweet minced meat, with a light and crispy batter…I couldn’t help but smile☺️
Local customers are constantly coming to buy, so this is truly a “popular corner that only those in the know know about.”
Even if you’re visiting as a tourist, if you buy some for dinner, it will be a delicious memory to take home♪
That’s how I spent spring in Ogawaramachi.The cherry blossoms are still in bud, but signs of spring are everywhere in the town,
and the scenery, food, and warmth of the people I encountered there made for a relaxing day. In this town where the seasons change slowly, a gentle spring is arriving again this year.
